Virgin River fans are eagerly awaiting the premiere of season 6, despite having to wait until 2025 for its release. The cast is diligently working on filming new episodes, and there are plenty of teasers to keep fans excited, including a recent one from Benjamin Hollingsworth.

In a recent interview with TV Insider, Hollingsworth provided some insights into what viewers can expect from the upcoming season. Contrary to expectations, the Brady actor hinted that the “sexy factor” will be heightened in season 6, leaving fans curious about who Brady will share these steamy moments with.

While Brady was previously in a relationship with Jack’s sister Brie, the beloved couple parted ways due to trust issues. Following their breakup, Brie started dating Mike, and Brady found companionship with Lark. Will Brady’s feelings for Lark continue to grow in season 6, or will he find himself yearning for Brie once again? Hollingsworth sheds some light on this question.

Benjamin Hollingsworth hints at “sizzle” in Virgin River season 6

Virgin River has mostly stayed within the PG to PG-13 range in terms of its portrayal of sexuality, but Benjamin Hollingsworth’s recent remarks are sure to ignite your imagination. While the show won’t suddenly transform into a TV-MA series overnight, ramping up the intensity, as Hollingsworth puts it, could be just what these couples need.

The actor didn’t reveal any specific spoilers (Netflix has instructed the cast not to), but he hinted at the heightened passion in season 6 during an interview with TV Insider:

“We were given strict instructions by Netflix regarding spoilers. However, I can say that season 6 definitely turns up the heat. This applies to all characters. After watching season 6, you might need to cool off. I can say that much without giving away too much.”

Additionally, Hollingsworth confirmed a previous tease about season 6: More focus on Mel and Jack. He cryptically teased the new season’s return to its roots of emphasizing relationships, saying, “I think viewers will be pleased with how the show is refocusing on its relationship-driven narrative.”

Season 5 was expansive in terms of storyline and depth, concluding the Charmaine subplot and crime elements, although these themes seem to be evolving further. It also tackled intense narratives such as the wildfire and Mel’s heartbreaking miscarriage. Revisiting its foundational themes will bring back some much-needed lightness.

Regarding Brady and Brie’s storyline, Hollingsworth hinted at hope for their fans, praising their chemistry and dynamic. He expressed optimism about their potential reconciliation:

“I believe there’s a unique dynamic between Brie and Brady that sets them apart from many TV couples, yet it’s very much in line with Virgin River’s essence. They have this spark, energy, and chemistry that’s a perfect blend of sweetness and depth. They complement each other exceptionally well.”

Regarding the Brady and Brie situation, Hollingsworth’s recent comments align with the sentiments shared by the cast and crew post-season 5. While they may have split, their story is far from over. He hinted at their paths crossing multiple times in season 6. Could one of these encounters lead to a passionate reunion, considering his earlier remarks about heightened passion? Only time will tell!

Virgin River season 6 is set to premiere in 2025, exclusively on Netflix, where all five previous seasons are available for streaming.
